I was talking to Nicole on the phone the Monday before V-day, trying to figure out what we were going to do, and she was trying to get some cheats working in Baulder's Gate. I did some looking online and got the correct codes for her, but this got me thinking about Diablo II since we had been talking about it at work. I dug out my boxes, and discovered that there is a Mac version. Naturally, I had to install it and start playing. Many hours later I went to bed, and took my Mac to work the next day, intending to play during my lunch hour. Without planning it, two of my coworkers also brought Diablo II in, so we ended up playing multiplayer during lunch. I'll probably keep playing for a while. The only problem is Diablo II is pretty CPU intensive for my laptop and keeps it nice and warm.
Thursday was less fun at work. I was racking a new machine, and when I turned it on, I popped both breakers feeding that rack (redundant PSUs). Oops. Even worse, that rack has the 3 VMWare ESX servers in it, so instead of taking down 3 servers, I took down 150 testing systems plus the MSA1000 SAN. Fortunately everything came back more or less OK and there was more joking at my expense than actual trouble.
